I know what you’re thinking—milkshakes in the winter? Well, I’m a firm believer that any time is the right time for ice cream! This sugary cereal milkshake is the perfect treat after a long day or for a celebration. You’ll love being a kid again with this delicious shake!
If you’ve never eaten them before, or if you’re like me and just eat them without knowing what they are, then you might be interested in knowing what Fruity Pebbles are made from.
Fruity Pebbles are crisp rice cereal bits with fruit flavors. The traditional box has multi-colored rice pebbles, but you can find special editions for the holidays and other varieties. There is also a chocolate version, called Cocoa Pebbles.
They taste great in my Fruity Pebbles™ Cookies!
You’ll need a high-speed blender, measuring cups, and a plate (for the cereal rim).

Making milkshakes at home is so easy! Here’s how to do it:
First, prepare your glasses (or you could serve this delicious dessert in a mason jar!) Next, spread a little bit of frosting around the rim of two glasses using a spatula, butter knife, or spoon. Then pour about ½ cup Fruity Pebbles on a plate or in a small bowl. Roll the frosted rim of the glass in the cereal. Repeat with the second glass.
Now it’s time to make the milkshake. Combine ice cream, milk, and cereal in a blender and blend until the desired consistency. I run mine for about 30 seconds.
Finally, top and serve the shakes! Pour the milkshake into the prepared glasses. Top with whipped cream and sprinkle with extra Fruity Pebbles. Enjoy!
This recipe makes two milkshakes, but feel free to double it to make more!
Unfortunately, milkshakes don’t really save well, so make sure to enjoy yours ASAP!
I haven’t tested this method, but you could soak the cereal in milk before you add it to the blender to make it softer.
Yes, you can! You don’t have to add the frosted rims to your glasses either, but they make a fun presentation!
