Wendy’s Bullseye BBQ Cheeseburger Review: Is the New BBQ Beast Worth the Hype? (2025)

Wendy’s just dropped the Bullseye BBQ Cheeseburger as part of their new “Bullseye” lineup, and yeah… this thing is LOADED. We’re talking a fresh, never-frozen square beef patty absolutely smothered in four slices of melted American cheese, crispy onion tanglers, pickles, mayo, and a heavy pour of their sweet-smoky Bullseye BBQ sauce. I grabbed one the day it launched and here’s my no-BS take.

First bite impression: Straight-up cheese explosion. Four slices is not a typo — this might be the cheesiest fast-food burger on the market right now. The Bullseye BBQ sauce is the star though: thick, tangy, sweet, with a little black pepper kick. If you love BBQ-slathered burgers (think Rodney Scott’s or any Texas roadhouse vibe), you’re gonna be in heaven. If you’re sauce-averse or prefer something lighter, you might wanna sit this one out because this sauce is everywhere.

The good:

  • Insanely cheesy
  • Crispy onions add great texture
  • That Bullseye BBQ sauce is legitimately addictive — sweeter than Wendy’s old BBQ sauce but with more depth
  • Surprisingly not as heavy as it looks — I finished the whole thing without needing a nap

The meh:

  • Zero lettuce or tomato. Zero veg at all unless you count the onions and pickles. I personally missed some freshness to cut through the richness.
  • Sauce domination — if you order it, just embrace the mess.

Score: 3.5/5 (upgraded from my original 3 because the more I think about it, the more I want another one) This is a straight-up indulgence burger. Perfect for when you’re craving BBQ and cheese more than balance. If you like your burgers veggie-heavy or subtle, skip it. If you want something loud, saucy, and unapologetic, hit the Wendy’s drive-thru ASAP.
